Charles F. Koch-Partner
Charles F. Koch is a Partner at Koch & White Law LLC. His areas of focus include real estate, estate planning, estate administration, business, and Port Authority transactions. Charles, known by most as Chuck, has been a lifelong resident of Van Wert County, Ohio. He graduated from Crestview High School in 1973, the Ohio State University in 1977, and Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law in 1980. Chuck was admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio in 1980. Chuck’s career began at Koch Law Office, which was started in 1947 by his late father, Kenneth Koch, and his late Uncle, C. Robert Koch. Chuck has been involved in many aspects of the legal profession locally, including serving as an assistant prosecuting attorney for 14 years. He also served as an Acting Judge in Municipal Court for several Judges for over a 15-year period. In addition to serving clients’ legal needs, Chuck has been very active in the community and diligently works to grow it and make it a better place to live. Currently, Chuck serves on the Board of Directors of Van Wert Federal Savings Bank and is a Trustee on the Board of Trustees of the Van Wert County Foundation, Van Wert, Ohio (following his father as Trustee and also following his great uncle, John H. Koch, who was a founding Trustee of the Van Wert County Foundation when it was first established in 1925). Chuck is also a Board member for Van Wert Forward, the downtown Van Wert re-development project. Previously, Chuck has served as a Board Member for Van Wert Area Performing Arts Foundation, the Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert, Ohio, Van Wert County YMCA, Van Wert Sertoma Club, Associated Charities Inc., of Van Wert, Ohio, Van Wert Council on Aging, and an initial Board member of Homestead Village Apartments. In addition, Chuck received the Ray Miller Award in 2013 for service to the community presented by the Van Wert Area Chamber of Commerce. Outside of working and serving the community, Chuck is a member of First Presbyterian Church, Van Wert, Ohio and enjoys world-wide travel with his wife Karen, running, golfing, scuba diving, reading, attending theater and live music events, and aerobatic flying. Chuck is currently involved in co-piloting business jets for Purdue Aviation.
Claire White- Partner
Claire White is a Partner at Koch & White Law LLC. Her areas of focus include real estate, estate planning, estate administration, and business law. She was born and raised in Van Wert, Ohio and graduated from Van Wert High School in 2014. Claire attended the Ohio State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice. In 2021, she obtained a Juris Doctor Degree from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. She passed the Bar Examination in July of 2021 and has been practicing law in Van Wert since. Claire began working with Koch Law Office in the Summer of 2018 as a legal intern. She was named a Partner of the firm in December of 2021. Claire is also an Assistant Prosecutor for Van Wert County where she handles mostly civil matters and child support enforcement. Outside of work, Claire is a member and Trustee at First Presbyterian Church of Van Wert, Ohio. She enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
